Being involved in school events is a job that takes great responsibility. We are committed to helping administrators and educators provide a safe environment in which students can have a great time. We want to provide a service that you can trust year after year knowing that the students are in good hands. In order to assist you in providing a safe environment; we center every event around four core principles:

CONTENT
Every event will contain content that is appropriate to the setting. While Top 40 and Hip Hop are some of the most popular music styles among students, a large amount of these songs contain offensive language or subject matter. Just because the students know every word or the radio is playing a song does not mean that it is J4S approved. We will never play music that actively promotes drugs, alcohol, violence, or sex. We will also ensure that custom edits are used when necessary in order to eliminate vulgar language. J4S always ensures the house is rockin’ whether we’re playing today’s top music or the hits of the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s!
AWARENESS:
Many DJ’s are too busy looking at a computer screen to see what is going on at an event. J4S is always paying attention to what is happening and what students are doing at all events. One key to this is interaction. While the music being played is important, we believe the most critical part of any event is connection. When a performer is connecting with the crowd his attention is focused on them and he can respond to any concern that he may see. While many times we are able to correct any behaviors that may be improper though techniques learned through hundreds of events; we will also ensure that the chaperones are aware of all situations so they may address them as needed.
RULES:
Rules are an important institution within any school; establishing the expectations that are to be followed and laying a foundation of proper behavior as students form their personal moral compass. Arrive on time. Raise your hand before speaking. Stay on task. Listen to directions. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself. No running. No food in class……..We are very fortunate that we do not have to be aware of and enforce all of the rules that educators do on a daily basis. However, every school will have various rules applicable to school events designed to keep students safe, ensure mutual respect, and maintain proper educational reputation. We will always ensure that we are aware of all rules that are to be followed and communicate to school staff if there is a infraction. Ultimately our #1 rule is that no behavior will be acceptable that may jeopardize one’s safety or or the safety of others.
ENVIRONMENT:
The environment is the application of the previous principles to the most creative, captivating, and impressive performance that your school has experienced. We want to provide an environment in which parents and educators are ensured that safety is being provided; while also giving students a night that will be unforgettable. While all lighting and trussing is setup using solid engineering principles, ultimately this equipment is designed to present a stunning visual experience. As educators your goal is to provide a classroom in which the environment contributes to maximum educational success. Likewise, as entertainers, our goal is to utilize lighting, music, and interaction to create an environment that is fun and engaging for your students.
