Just 4 Schools was born when two of Kansas City’s powerhouse DJ’s, sharing a vision of revolutionizing the school entertainment industry, joined to combine their collective experience, creativity, and passion for entertainment.
Let’s start by saying we’re not just DJs. There is just a lack of services that both understand the school administration and parents; while at the same times putting together the most memorable school party the students have ever experienced. So if we are not DJ’ s, then what exactly are we? One word…Entertainers! J4S combines DJ’ing, MC’ing, music production, light shows, crowd interaction, sound design, groundbreaking technology, music theory, effects, and an immense music library to go beyond just DJ’ing and really connect to the crowd. You will feel like you are at a multi-platinum artist’s concert because…well, we have worked with them!
We know that there are two important things, besides the entertainment factor, that come into play when it comes to schools functions: Safety and Budget. That’s why J4S is fully insured and also uses principles gained through an engineering background when it comes to set design and electrical systems. We don’t just know the regulations, we understand their purpose. But safety isn’t just physical. We also want to ensure that administration and parents feel that the students are safe when it comes to what they are exposed to at schools functions. We realize that much of today’s music does not always contain lyrical content and themes that would be deemed appropriate for school functions. That is why we review our music to avoid playing music that would be deemed offensive. We use all radio edits and when these edits don’t exist, we simply make our own. While we can’t guarantee that we are going to be the cheapest company (we believe you get what you pay for) we want to make every attempt possible in order to work with schools in a way that works with their budget.
Additionally, we believe that it is important to utilize the abilities and resources of J4S to give back to our community. That is why J4S offers free production and entertainment services to several local non-profit charities. It is our hope that we can lead by example to ultimately encourage students to become involved. Everyone can help make a difference.
Overall J4S’ goal is summed up in our mission statement: J4S WILL PROVIDE EVERY CLIENT THE BEST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE BY SURPASSING INDUSTRY STANDARDS OF SERVICE, ENTERTAINMENT, AND INTEGRITY.
